Santa Claus to make trip through Perry Village neighborhoods on Sunday Dec. 20. Flyer Here

Although the tour won’t be stopping to permit individual conversations, residents are encouraged to stand outside and offer holiday greetings to Santa Claus as he passes by.

“Come on out to your front porches, driveways and sidewalks to greet and wave to Santa,”

Santa, who accepted a special invitation to join the caravan from village Mayor James Gessic and Village Council, will journey through the community in the passenger seat of a Perry Joint Fire District truck.

The course that Santa will follow through the village and approximate times of arrival are:

• 1 p.m. to 1:20 pm — Mallard Bay, Center Road, and Main Street, west of Center Road

• 1:20 to 1:40 — Main Street, east of Center Road to Route 84; Maple Street and Depot Street

• 1:40 to 2 — Hidden Village

• 2 to 2:20 — Harper Street, near Thompson Street; Thompson Street and Green Street

• 2:20 to 3 — Manchester, Portsmouth, Red Mill Cove, Whistlewood Way, Castlewood Court and Leisurewood Court

• 3 to 3:40 — Dugan’s Farms, Dugan’s Landing, Tarpon Cove, Charles Way, David’s Way and Logan’s Way

• 3:40 to 4 — Call Road and Harper Street

During the caravan, children will have their last chance to submit Christmas wish list letters that the village forwards to Santa. Perry Village Police Department officers, who will escort Santa throughout his visit, will collect the letters from spectators along the caravan route.

Letters to Santa is an annual event sponsored by Perry Village. Anyone not watching the caravan on Dec. 20 has until Dec. 19 to leave letters for Santa in the red mailbox in front of Perry Village Hall, 3758 Center Road. All letters must include the child’s full name and a return address.
